You have 3 players in this game. One is from FUTURE and one is from PAST and one is from PRESENT.
Movements are weird in FUTURE that are intentionally coded.
You can control only to the PRESENT one but the inputs are being recorded and can be applied to any other Player.
PAST PLAYER : Make movements that is "Reverse" of the input of the Present one.
FUTURE : time goes fast.
AND yes there are glitches that has to be explored. :D
